I wanna know if I rip the movies scenes from ff7 psx version (which appear to be much clearer than pc version, and i also plan to enhanced them as well) convert then into divx or xvid and delete the pc version movie scenes with my converted ones, will this work?

I assume it has to be the same resolution as pc movies. Has any tried doing this or done something similar such as replacing a movie scenes with whatever movie you wanted? And will this work?

Tv's run at a lower resolution than PC's. Even if you could do it, the videos wouldn't look any better. I don't know what the Television resolution is...but I think it's closer to 300x200 than 640x480

I use the PSX movies converted to divx 3.11 (I think it works with xvid too). You will need to replace the sound of some of the movies with the one on the PC version (for example the ending one). You will probably need to install fddshow in order to get them to work right.

It'd be really nice if SE would put out the super clear and crisp FMV's they have.

But yes, Borde's suggestion will work nicely.
