FF7 and Windows Vista

Hi. I'm trying to run Final Fantasy 7 on Windows Vista but it does not work properly. The movies won't play. If i skip the intial movies I get the main menu page (new/load) but when I click for a new game I get a black screen. I'm going Crazy. I installed all the patches I was using under WinXP.

Have you got the solution?

There is a button at the top of every page, it says "search". If you had used it, you would have found the topic on getting FF7 working on vista.  http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=6467.0

"The movies won't play" problem is also not Vista-specific and covered in the FF7 FAQ.

I used the 1.02 Patch, the Upside Down patch, and the 1280x960 patch. It generally works, but it crashes at random. Do you experience the same thing with Vista?
