Tifa final limit (i cant get it)..

Yeh, I've played the piano a ton of times... All i get is on the third attempt i find tifa's secret stash of 1 gill... I've played it like 10+ times all cloud does is scratch his head when i finish playing...


basically what i do is:
start playing...
[ok], [switch], [cancel], [Page Down] + [Cancel], [page down] + [switch], [ok], [switch], [cancel], [pgdown] + [ok], [cancel], [ok], [switch], [ok]
finish and play again....

I think by a small chance of why i can't get the final limit is because, when i push two key together in game the game registers it as me pushing it at two different times. Like the scene with cid on the train and tifa with the key, i had to mash all those buttons to get through since when i push two [button1] + [button2] it always showed up on screen as [button1]. Hope that makes sense ><

As far as i know im not entering in the buttons wrong, and when i listen to the sound being played [page down] + [whatever] plays a different sound than when i push [whatever] by itself. And i've tried so many times and i still haven't gotten it... but i've made like 5 gil trying >.>

edit: anyone know if im doing anything wrong?

yes... she in my party....has been since day one o.O (except when cloud and tifa cant be in it)

is there like a specific timing you have to push the buttons, or a specific number of times or anything? Because i been trying to get this for a few days now ><

Don't remember, but maybe you need to be in Disc 3 or near the end of Disc 2...
Or maybe your "buttons sheet" is bad. Maybe you have a button assigned for two keys too. O.o

as far as i can tell the buttons are fine, the point i am in the game is right after you take down the red sub. where you can first get vincents final limit.

Some keyboards have trouble with certain key combinations.

Try reconfiguring to use different keys, or use a joystick or gamepad if you have one.

Do you need to play this exact tune in the flashback as well? (disk1)

If so then im probably wasting my time cause i didn't >.>

No, I don't think you have to play it in the flashback.
My guessings are you have not well configured your keys,
or that your "sheet" is incorrect...

Does having tifa's slot up to level 3 is that better than her final limit?
So basically having the slots up two 6, beat having her final limit..

Mind you i am using the mod that gives me 'Yeahs' everytime.

If you gain her final limit you will have 7 slots. 

And if you have too much trouble for getting it just
use a save editor to put her final limit in your inventory. ^_^

The lower the level is, the more often you'll get to use a limit, remember... so you might find you get more out of six attacks than seven, if you get to use it more often.

I had this same problem. I didn't play it at the flashback, which i thought you needed to do, but i just forgot, and didn't do it. So did you figure it out?

I had the same problem about pressing the two buttons at once.  It worked fine when I held down pgup whilst pressing the other relevant buttons.
I think you need Tifa in your party, on disc 3 (haven't got there myself on this current install, so I can't say for sure).

The sequence I was told was different to yours.  It sounds right, and gave me the 1 gil stash when I played it early on:
[cancel], [switch], [menu], [pgup] + [menu], [pgup] + [switch], [cancel], [switch], [menu], [pgup] + [cancel], [OK], [cancel], [switch], [cancel], [start].
Am I horribly ill-informed, or is this the correct tune?

Edit: Well, the tune I got given worked for me.  PC version, original CDs, etc.  Not that I can use it, given that I avoided using Tifa whenever I could.
