I bought a WingMan Rumblepad back in 1999, and the plastic joystick covers just broke after 8 years of regular use. Granted I just wrapped tape around the still perfectly working metallic part that the joystick plastic was covering and use the controller to this day. The plastic fatigue issue does not look to be a problem with the 2, as they have adopted the PSX style solid joysticks. I'd still buy the original over the new one, just because it has six main buttons, a throttle control, and has given me no problems yet (aside from a finicky D-Pad, but I hardly use that thing).
