Uh, that XP Patch is a virus. Uninstall and run a virus check.
Also, everyone fails at 8-bit. It's a good thing.

I never installed the 1.4 thats why I didn't install it cause I remember something bad about it. Got it from download.com but.... never installed it so it isn't that problem.

    • A new copy of FF7 thanks to Salk. Pack (zip/rar/etc) your saved game before sending it to me.
Where do those random crashes occur? In battle, in field, in menu?

Mostly outside in the field and in battle as it ends.

once in awhile I hit the Window button to look something up but usually it happens when I don't do it. I don't think.

You only have to press it once to let it crash on you on the next battle with some significant probability. Install MiniGamesPatch with YAMP.

Well its not that because I just ended wasting 2hrs of my time trying to build BP in the battle square. Screw this.

Install the minigames patch with YAMP, as dziugo said. There may be a connection.

Also, use the 1.02 patch and see if that helps.

?
The battleswirl is the battleswirl. The swirl you see when you get into a battle.
The patch readme tells you how to install the patch, as does the thread it's posted in.

Uninstall the xp patch. It doesn't do anything that proper patches on this website can't to. It may be the cause of your problems so, again, uninstall it or else we have no point of reference to help you with.

I guess u were right. The XP Patch 1.4 cause some kinda problem with my system files. Where the system was being very unresponive. I did a System Restore and seemed to correct it and I thought I knew it all!  :-(

Anyhow I think I'm just gonna use the 1.2 and Chocobo Patch for now not gonna install any mods on it for the time being.

Is it safe using Direct3D with my On Board Video? It seems to make it so my playing time and game don't lag at all.

Have Nvidia clicked on it and TNT. Seems to be working fine.

Anyhow sorry guys I know u guys tried warning me

Took ure advice and installed the mini games patch. So hopefully this will stop it from getting any more crashes. Haven't had any in awhile. So we'll wait and see. Any more mods/patches u think would be good? I don't see much use out of the Limit Breaking Patch seeing how u never need that much HPs.

So I have these on there:

Final Fantasy VII 1.2
Chocobo Patch
Mini Games/Battle Swirl Patch
