FF8 Music Patch
« on: 2009-06-20 17:29:50 »
Sorry if this has been asked before but I've been looking forever for an MP3 patch for FF8. I had alot of fun playing through FF7 with all the MP3s replaced, so if anyone knows a patch for this or a way to do it that would be awesome.

I don't think you "pissed" anyone off with the name of the topic, it's valid. However, there isn't really any patch that allows you to replace the music in FF8 with your own mp3's yet. It hasn't been developed. There is a method that allows you to replace the existing files with better sounding tracks - much more like the PSX style music rather than midi. Samuel's soundfonts. You can search the board for it or find a link to it in the "FF8 Enhancing" thread in Game Tweaking, which I highly recommend to anyone that's new in the modding community that wants to play through FF8 looking and sounding much better.

And don't double post, though it seems even experienced forum members are forgetting this rule nowadays. Sigh.
