I've seen that movie (the Japanese version I mean) and I've read that some people have a real fear of it because a ghost could be seen during a scene. Apparently they fillmed it in a supposedly haunted house. The director and producers deny all knowledge of special effects to cause it though. I watched it years ago in school as part of a media study. Some people in the class thought they could see it but I couldn't.

If I can be bothered later I'll do a bit of research and post a screenshot.

I didn't know that. Sounds interesting. Sounds also bit like urban legend or clever guerrilla marketing and self-suggestion - if they were aware of the story beforehand.

Having said that, it's a good movie. One of the few horror movies which still manages to scare me to some degree.
