Need a bit of assistance using FFVII tools.

Hello there everyone; I'm rather new to this site, and have been trying to create a patch for the PSX FFVII using WM and PC's kernal/scene editors. This is the first time I've attempted something like this, and I feel as though I must be making a rather juvenile mistake, so I'm going to list my process, as well as the error, and hope one of the more knowledgeable members here will be able to identify the problem

1: Open the ISO file with Magic ISO (Don't have Linux on this Machine)
2: Extract Scene.bin and kernal.bin to another folder.
3: Use the program Proud Clod to edit some things, then "create scene.bin"
4: Paste scene.bin back into the ISO, save, and try it to load it in ePSXe.

However, ePSXe will not load. I simply get a blank screen, and eventually have to end the application. I'm pretty sure the issue isn't with my configuration settings, as it does load the ISO when freshly ripped from the games discs.

Thanks in advance!

Magic ISO is your problem. Use CDMage instead.
