I am trying to get the game to load the remastered OST soundtrack using ficedula's patcher. However, I have noticed that certain tracks won't load or aren't playing at the right time. Major things I've noticed so far is that the boss battle music is replaced by the opening fmv soundtrack (from where you see aerith's face in the alleyway ), and barrett's theme won't play at all during the materia introduction section. I just recently started a new game so these are the only issues I've encountered thus far. Other mp3s play fine.

The soundtrack I am using is will936's music folder. I have the patcher aimed at the proper location for the music files, and have checked that the replacement files match what they're supposed to be replacing. Any ideas on how to fix this?

EDIT: Since I am new to modding there are a couple other random questions I'd like to ask, so I might as well put them in this thread.

First of all, I patched the game for gjoerulv's hardcore mod, but did this after having already played through the bombing mission. In order for the mod to work, do I need to install it and begin a new game or will my current file be updated regardless?

Also, for the menu overhaul project, is there any way to choose the classical battle menu or are you forced to choose between the ff9 and 10 themes?
