FFVII PC Save File question
« on: 2012-01-02 11:57:58 »
This might seem like a stupid question but how can I get FFVII to save in more than one save file?
I have the PC version of the game with all the patches installed including Aali's Open GL jobbie and other mods.
I've played to the end of the disk and was using "Save 1", in the hopes that I could save all the disk one stuff in this file. However now that I've started disk 2, I tried saving to "Save 2" but the message "Invalid Save File" comes up. Do I rename the save files in the save folder of the FFVII installation folder, to something other than save00.ff7, save01.ff7, save.02.ff7... etc? I created 10 of these files as Aali required these for installation but the game doesn't seem to recognise these.

upgrade you version of aali's driver to a newer one , only one old version requires you to make saves. if you can't upgrade it you can always make the saves in black chocobo, open the program and select "newgame" then export pc save format. copy and paste into ff7 dir as the saves you need.
