Bootleg asks for a cd key!!!! FFS!!!?><><><><>

1st of all sorry for the FFS!!! b4 any1 says i have a illegal copy of FF7 i don't i just bought it after i came home from work have all the purchase crap i need to prove it...... I've been trying to mod this game for hours the only 1 that's taken is a character model edit that makes them look better. TRIED AND TRIED to get Bootleg to work but every time i set my specs and click play ff7 it asks me for a god dam CD 1/2/3 or in the CD ROM....... yyyyyyyyyyyyy is it asking this and for reg keys it's a legitimate copy for crap sake. ....plus like 80% of the mod links in bootleg are broken anyway so go figure how that works.

p.s. i forgot to say this is a digital download copy if that makes a difference

1) you obviously can't be assed to read threads
1.5) The big mod list has every single mod up in some way, sogo figure
2) The CD thing has been mentioned countless times. See 1)
2.5) You need to put either a dummy ISO with the name of the game in a virtual drive and use regedit to point the cd path there or use a real CD
3) If bootleg isn't working then you are doing something wrong.
3.5) you probably wouldn't do something wrong if you could be bothered to read threads

tar for the replay but mate even the Mrs sat next to me c an say how much time in the last week I've sunk into reading forums trying  things to get this going and nothing works ...i have the dummy iso with daemon tools, the mods list is not complete iv'e tryed each ad evry link needed for the settings selected hardly any work most of which are on meadia fire.

also, if you had the dummy iso and pointed the bootleg config to the drive, it wouldn't ask you to insert the CD

You can find all the steps for setting up Bootleg, including your 2012 Version, within that thread. Following the Tutorial, there are links to read, preview, and download every mod that can be used. I even gave you the exact name of what it's Bootleg Option is called in the Bootleg Front End (BFE.exe). If you have any problems setting it up, post your questions in that thread.

Also, next time be a bit more polite when posting a new topic for help. In fact, there's already an FAQ/Tutorial thread for Bootleg, so go reply there. It's just rude when you instead title a new topic the way you have. I understand your frustrations, as it can sometimes be a bit stressful when things don't line up perfectly, BUT there are always reasons to why it doesn't work. Usually they are very minor, and in your case it looks to be something minor.

Check your drive letter for the CD-ROM within Bootloader.
