The Great Glacier Crash

Hello everyone,
So my problem come just after the snowboard part, one i'm in the great glacier Cloud and his companio get up and then I have to make my way through it, BUT when a combat appear my screen stay black (but the music keep going on) and so I have to go back on my desktop with the error; Oops something very bad happened. But the thing is, it's only when a combat appear and sometime (1 out of 10) it work does it depend on the ennnemy? Is it a texture problem? Please I don't want to finish the game here! Im guessing this is an issue with Hardcore mode of some sort. Is it a vanilla game or heavily modded? bootleg40?

Edit: I would probably just reinstall. Don't use mode switching, only install the one mode you like from bootleg. Backup your savefiles you should be able to use them after reinstalling np. make sure you have an official copy of FF7 and not the Ultimate (pirated) version. If you can recreate this issue after a reinstall then I will give it more thought.

Quite heavily modded, and yes with bootleg 4.0 but I'm actually playing in remasterized mode, not hardcore
