Black screens when starting game

I finally got all my mods installed, everything looked good to go, when I start the game up and get a black screen after the NEW GAME menu. I hear the sounds in the background, and I can see the text boxes, but that's about it. Someone please help me before i go insane.

You forgot to set the path for the videos in Bootloader config.

My movie folder for the game is empty.

I have seen this happen before... in one of the billion installs of the rerelease I've done in the last couple weeks.

Was this STEAM related?

You need to start from scratch and make sure the game isn't installed to the Program Files areas. Look into Steam Mover or whatever but to me, moving the install is problematic because it's just not good practice. You have other games on STEAM? If it's not a giant pain, put STEAM install itself outside of Program Files (system folders).

I would strongly suggest using Kompass63's Game Converter.8 before bootleg on a STEAM install.

PLEASE DO NOT USE "STEAM MOVER"
This Tool don't update the Registry, my FF7 GameConverter can not work correctly!
Preferring instead to move the whole Steam folder as described here.

Patch 1.02 and Aali's Driver will work ONLY on a 1998 Version from FF7.
You need to convert the Game.
Bootleg will maybe work with a moved Game and can convert it, my GC can handle only proper installed Version.

Sorry about that, I had a backup saved so I just moved the movie files from the backup into the folder on the modded final fantasy game. Thanks everyone for the help.

I'll take the Steam Mover suggestion out of my Tutorial since it's causing registry issues.
