Author Topic: Can't get the FMV viewer to work, can anyone help?  (Read 2616 times)

When i start it up first it say's it can't locate FFVIII then when I click on the "..." and go to my CD-rom drive, no .fmv's or any files appear.

If anyone knows what I'm doin wrong please help me.

I think that's a bug, but you have to extract it first to view it!!!
Yeahhh you might need the Bink! player to view that (I think so!!!)

I don't have it anymore, but just play with it...
or drag the extracted FMV file to Bink.exe?! (try that!!!)
But if you tweak the Bink player (in options...)
I think you can view with greater performance!

To extract the movie, you have to point FF8FMV to the data file on one of the FF8 CDs (not the install CD).  It'll present you with a list of movies... pick one, extract it (make sure to pick someplace besides the CD to extract it to) and then drag it onto Binkplay.exe to watch it.  If you have downloaded the Bink Player and installed it, you can just double-click the movie to watch it.
