Been meaning to get round to this.

For the moment here's the mod.

Crude explanations within.

A fuller and more concise explanation pending.



Uses an unused flag in FF7 PC's code to prevent all input acting like key repeat (the cause of DI).

The port seems to have gotten input to a "good enough" state and moved on. This finishes the job.

Also includes granular tweaking of auto/rapid fire/key repeat "delay" and "rate".
