Whatever happened to FF7 Final Mix+?

I was thinking about this mod the other day since a playthrough popped up today on my youtube list, I tried googling for it but there doesn't seem to be anything anywhere regarding this mod, does anyone know?

It got left to me by Grimmy. But it was in sort of bad shape at the time and contained ripped models.
I didn't have the time to actually fix it up so it's been gathering dust. Grimmy did reappear last week though so I'm hopeful that he'll keep going with it.
