FF7 PC + SB Audigy [DF40] = no sfx :<
Musics works perfectly but i've no sound in game
PC: p4 3ghz OS: Winxppro SP1 GFX Card: Gf4 Ti4400 SFX Card: SB Audigy
For info i've buy the game so my audio.dat = 70 mB approx
Plz help me :< thx

Hi!

I would think that this is probably a simple problem to fix...  

Firstly, check that the correct sound card is selected in the FF7Config program. Second, check that your wave output is not muted via your volume control. Does sound work with any other games?

Hi!

Sorry for assuming you were a 'noobie' as you call it. Anyway, is it just FF7 with this problem. I'm assuming it is, so maybe you could try updating your sound card drivers. It's usually the most common cure to sound problems in my experience.

...if you were using Win98 I'd tell you to go to Windows setup and reinstall the Audio compression file. But I don't know how to get to that on WinXP.


In Win98 you would go to ADD/Remove programs, and then select the Windows Setup tab. But WinXP doesn't have it that way.

I'm still using Win98SE.....
