Running FF7 in a window

How can I run FF7 in a window?
Is there other ways than using Cetra?
When I try to use ff7-windowed.cetra it says "Cannot create file ...\FF7.EXE. :(
So... do I use Cetra somehow wrong or something and can I use windowed mode somehow else?
I would be very happy if someone could help!!!

I think when you use Cetra, you have to be using the 1.02 version of FF7.exe.

Yeah, you must use version 1.02, as it clearly says in the readme:

Quote from: Cetra Readme
Updates in v0.2
---------------
-Fixed "Restore backup" tool - didn't work in 0.1
-Dropped support for FF7 v1.00 - couldn't get it working anyway
-Added "Windowed mode" and "Music" patches

and

Quote from: Cetra Readme
There ARE different versions of FF7.EXE out there. I don't have them all. I don't have ANY of the non-English versions so until I get fuzzy searching working, you can't alter those at all. I DO have two versions of FF7:

v1.00: The initial English language release
v1.02: The second NVidia patch; includes support for Riva and TNT cards. (Also works with Radeons).

So, my patches support those two versions in theory; in practice, I only test them with v1.02 since v1.00 doesn't run with my video card. So I recommend you use v1.02 even if you don't have an NVidia card (you don't HAVE to turn on the NVidia support; it's an option in the Config).

The patch to get to version 1.02 can be found here, thanks to the FFSF Website. If patching still has problems even when you are updated to version 1.02, then something else must be very wrong.

Thanks it works, but it´s stupid that you can´t use alt+tab or if you do you can´t move any more...
So, was there any other way to play in windowed mode than Cetra?
'cos if not the windowed mode is useless :(

Yeah, alt-tabbing is out of the question, unless you're using a gamepad. If you alt-tab, and go back to ff7, gamepads will work, but the arrow keys will not. It's because the background items are still in use of the keyboard, and ff7 won't be able to use it. But if you ask me, the windowed mode is pretty much useless, unless you have a gamepad.

Why do you want FF7 windowed? Oh well. I'd say Cetra is the only way, but this is a site that might help you out:

If the link doesn't work...Erm...There's nothing I can do. Aw, what the hell, i'll get into it.

[OFFTOPIC:] I just want to add a question.
Can I get hardware support for my radeon video card in FF7 so I can have anti-aliasing? :z
I have tried the nVidia modes but there are some color bugs with that.
