Hi !
I am using 7th Heaven with the 2013 steam version of FF7 in english and it works fine! But when I change the language of the game in steam to French, ff7_en.exe is replaced by ff7_fr.exe. So I change the path in the config of 7th Heaven :
C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\ff7_en.exe → C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\ff7_fr.exe

When I launch the game from the "Play" button I have an error message :

Code: [Select]
### Launching Final Fantasy VII ###
Checking System DEP status...
Checking FF7 is not running ...
Checking FF7 .exe exists at C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\ff7_fr.exe ...
Checking FF7 Steam if installed correctly......
Verifying installed game is compatible ...
Unknown error when launching the game: Could not find file 'C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\ff7_en.exe'.

Apparently it tries to use ff7_en.exe anyway...

Any idea on this issue ?

Same problem;
I tried to copy FF7_fr.exe and rename it as FF7_en.exe so there was one for launch and one for verification... 7th heaven refuse to launch the game because it would be a pirate version ... yep 15€ a cloud copy of a 25years old game is something like piracy and racketeering but no .. this is a serious issue.
Is it possible to fix it and how?

I unistalled 7th heaven and installed an old version (for git here : https://github.com/tsunamods-codes/7th-Heaven/releases) I took the 3.5.1.0; redownload mods .. and that's ok.

guys all you gotta do is download the english version from steam... 7h has always required english. Prior to being steam-native, 7h never used ff7_fr or _es or anything else. It just used ff7.exe which is english. Now with steam, it also requires english which is _en.
