Dear all

Firstly,  I have searched the posts regard with radeon in the forum, but I still have problem.

I want to play ff7 on my computer(k7 2000+, radeon9700 pro, 512 MB Ram), I have patched to 1.02 and used many different Catlalyst(3.6, 3.10 & 4.3).

However, there are many green lines(girdline) in the game,
how to solve it?

btw, AA & AF is disabled in all Catalyst.

Thx

This works for my Radeon Mobility Card:

Check the NVIDIA box in the Config program and select the TNT Option. I didn't have to change any other settings.

I have tried for TNT and Riva128, but the problem still occur.
However, I'm using 3.6 catalyst,

which version for your radeon mobility card?

Does it not work okay in Software mode?

I'm actually using the Omega Drivers, not the official Catalyst Drivers. You can get them here:

http://www.omegacorner.com/

Maybe you should update your drivers anyway... I think they're onto version 4.3 now.

Play around with Texture Preferences and Mipmap Detail Level. I found that once I  changes these values I only got a slight bit of image corruption around animated frames. If you don't feel like playing around, just put the settings on the lowest and play.

Finally , I successfully config it.

ATI 3.6 & 4.3 Catalyst (all by default)
patched to 1.02
selected TNT option in the Nvidia
That will be ok~~

To solve the black backround problem with an ATI card and the  AV patch is to turn off the NVIDIA mode and it sorted mine right out...
was the text in your game all grey, and the hand cursor purple green and white? Because it was with mine, except o turned it off and nothings wrong now....i just have REALLY bad textures for the chars....anyone know if i can upgrade them? ive only been here 5 mins(litterally) and havent looked at other topics yet
