changing clouds default name to zack?

I know that it is possible to change the default name for the characters to
something else.
like Teknoman Midnight did in his Sephiroth Patch, but all i would like to know is how do you do it?
i can't figure it out for the life of me.

why would you wanna do this when you can change name at start of game ? just curcious ...

never noticed the avatar, linked to the wrong file.
and i'd like to make it default becuase im too lazy to go out and type in zack when i can hit enter and its done.  Plus its for a patch i'm working on so it would be helpful to know

im no genious when its about "Hacking/Patching" FFVII, but as far as i know, teknoman hasnt change that him self, he switched the sephiroth models with clouds, and as i see it, those "Models" and files, takes the name from somewhere, probobly from the game engine.
Sephiroth is default name cause you never get chance to change sephiroths name anyway, so kinda basic common sense.
