k i tried what is in the :The Great FF7 FAQ (read before posting for FF7 support!) and couldnt get it to work all i get is the new game, continue screen...after pressing start the screen stays black and it is getting very annoying trying so many different things just to be back to Square 1!

by the way when i check the nivida patch with both tnt & riva option i get this error: ACLAYERS.DLL

Have you tried installing the movie patch...?
(Because it sounds like your movies aren't playing.)
