As anyone who have read my post's I have no computer experience, I don't know any programming code and I can barely upload files, so don't flame me for asking for a patch.

I have searched (briefly) so I don't think there are any other topics with the same idea but if there are please correct me.

Now days everything about the FF7 game is improved the sprites, menu pics, high rez, better quality sound etc... So I thought why is there not an improved worldmap, just think how great it would look if todays modification technology could be applied to make the map better!

It doesn't seem hard to put it in like 3D or something, it would be another great addition to the ever growing amount of patches we have here in Qhimm's forums. :wink:

But as I said previously I can't do a thing about it so I throw the challenge out to the modders of this community. :-P

Okay, you mean the world map? To put it in 3D? It already is... :-P

I suppose it might be possible to make it look better, but I don't quite follow on what you would want it to look like.

I'm not sure what you want exactly.
Do you want the 2d transparent map overlay while walking around the world to be a 3d sphere that rotates as you walk.

I think this is fine as is, time and effort would be much better spent on enhancing the field backgrounds (or figuring out how to do it best)

Show me... Because all I see is a 2D map I am talking about a map that rotates as you walk. :roll:

Wuz: If it is a hard thing to do then don't bother but it would look nice in conjuction with all the other patches.

No I just wanted to know if it was possible to modify the world map's map.
Because it would be cool but as I said if no one is interested then I'll let this thread die. 8-)
