game crashing on chocobo race

i am using windows xp anf i seem to have a problem on the chocobo race



its the part where cloud will be a chocobo racer.. upon entering the door to start the race my game crashes.. some one i know says that it has a patch but i  cant seem to find it.. he also forgot it..

 can any one tell me where?
