plot hole? (ff9)

i was (slightly past it) at the part were trance kuja destroys terra completly while he's still in it. i know that zidane and the others steal the invisible (the ship that kuja used to get to terra). my question is how does kuja escape terra and end up in the crystal world*?


* i know  this becuse i've beaten this game multiple times

I'm guessing that the crystal world doesn't actually exist, per se.

More it is an amalgamation of all places and times, thus meaning that that Kuja is a past version of Kuja.  An _alive_ version of Kuja.

I haven't played the game in quite some time now, so don't quote me on this.

Well maybe when Kuja gets into Trance hes so strong and fast that he can live in outer space, fly down on earth and shoot a flarestar at Terra, destroying it^^
