Strange problem plz help!

Hi,

I'm having the strangest problem. Everytime I uninstall FFVII then reinstall a fresh copy, one of the mods is still active, even tho i delete the squaresoft inc. folder before i reinstall. The NPC-RCP 0.6 models shows up even tho they are not installed. I tryed uninstalling and restarting, clearing all assciated files, but the models still show up. This would'nt be such a bad thing, but the game crashes during the first battle scene. If anyone has had a problem similar to this can you plese give me some advice please and thank you~!

Hmmm... well if you are using some kind of downloaded version of FF7 (i.e. utima) it could have the models already pre-installed.     It could also be, though highly unlikely, that your antivirus or system restore is somehow blocking you from completely erasing everything.

Just my guesses.

Nope, im using my original disks, and i took your advice and disabled my anti-virus, but no change.... its so strange after a fresh install and nothing added (not even 1.02 patch) the models still show. Even stranger, i just noticed that the graphics and movies are working fine oppose to when i first installed the game i needed patch 1.02 to resolve these problems.

Did you maybe install it twice and alter the location of one of them?  I've had similar things happen but after installing and uninstalling a few times it always corrected itself.
You may want to try a general google search about completely uninstalling programs.
