*off topic* doesn't don mean something like a mob boss or along does lines? Since Corneo never struck to me as a "mob" boss figure you know its kinda weird to think of him that way.

I think Don Corneo is too similar to Don Corleone (The Godfather) to be a coincidence.  The "Don" part shows that he is the "highest ranking/in charge" of his "organization".
