game crashes before opening scene

ive just installed ffvii on my comp..again

it worked 100% then i got the npc reconstruction mod

and it crashes before the opening scene

anybody know what could be wrong???

Maybe other people had this problem.

Does your game crash after you select "new game"? Does the game crash when the aeris video starts? Sorry, but there are a whole bunch of things that can go wrong with ffvii, and you got to work with us here.

yes, i go to select "New Game" and before the opening scene starts the game crashes.

says ffvii has encountered an error and needs to close.

It should work fine.  Advice:
Re-install FF7, then the Npc-RP and make sure you direct it to the correct folder, maybe just starting with the original Char.lgp would help.
