Geeez, hi everyone...
after reading a lot of Support topics and bothering the search-function without any traces of a topic related to my situation i now open a single one for it.
It seems like every 2nd user got problems with the music, but none with the sounds. Well here is one

Relevant Machine-Specs
Videocard : nvidia FX5200 ultra ( yeah, i nkow its old :p )
Soundcard : Creative AudioPCI

Here is the situation:
- The game runs smoothly
- Videos run smoothly
- Configurator music-sample -> works
- Configurator sound-sample -> works
- ingame music -> works

ingame sounds -> not present at all___________________
already tried a lot of nonsence to fix this problem on my own but its no good.
All drivers on my machine are up-2-date by now.
- no, the soundFX are not ingame muted
Well i can't install the sfman for some reason. Dunno if this is of any importance.
if you have any sugguestion what could cause the game to stop playing soundFX ingame while passing the test in the Configurator, let me know please.

( btw, seems like i should have bought the PSX-Version + PSX of FF7 after having that much trouble mit FF8-PC version in the past...well some people never learn -_- )
edit: after installing FF8 i found out thats its obviously no real game foult with FF7. Even in FF8 i have no ingame sounds anymore. My Machine Specs didnt change since my last playing FF8 (with sound!) so its seems more like some kind of codec problem or whatsoever :/
