Have you installed a graphics driver after installing 7?
If not, it's possible that it's running with MS driver. Mine did the same thing, and I didn't even notice until some program started to complain that I don't have hardware OpenGL support. Then I noticed the nVidia control panel not working, and investigated bit further.
