my gf has a HP laptop, and it gets insanely hot! The barrery life isalso abysmal, and it's even worse when you compare it to my gaming laptop, which has twice the hardware and twice the battery life.
I also recall one particular auto update on her GFX drivers caused the fan to stop operating,which made the laptop feel like it was going to catch on fire! Once i rolled the GFX drivers back, the fan kicked on and everything was peachy again. Not what i would call a convient update.
