Widescreen?
« on: 2010-01-25 06:49:38 »
how would final fantasy VII look with a 1920x1080 resolution?
I haven't had the chance to find my cd to reinstall it yet.
will it look really stretched out?
will it ruin some of the great mods people have made?
will saint's resolution pack work for it?
Does this game have windows mode? I don't remember
Thank you for your time.

1. Looks really good
2. It is only stretched out if you have the preserve aspect off in aali's driver. Else you have black bars on the sides.
3. Mods will work fine in 1080
4. Saint's resolution mod will not work. Use aali's driver
5. Aali's driver allows for windowed mode.

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question:
Are the Aali's drivers graphics drivers that will overwrite my graphics card's drivers, or is it just used for the final fantasy?
Thanks for the answers for the other questions.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it out.
I'm assuming since it installs in the final fantasy directory it wont overwrite anything.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Thank you.

I find that the game looks much better stretched, but that's just me. I run it at 1080p all the time.

Aali's graphics driver will only be used by ff7, won't do anything else to any other programs and it won't erase your graphic cards drivers.
