Cloud stuck hanging / black background

Hello!  I've read all the stickies and the FAQ thread. I've installed the official 1.02 patch, the Chocobo patch, the mini games patch, and the TrueMotion 2.0 codec. I've done everything (compatibility mode, running as admin, etc)

This is the problem! After destroying the Airbuster at Reactor 5, the screen would go black right before the Airbuster blows up and leaves Cloud hanging onto the darkness. Tifa and Barret tell Cloud to hang on but after the dialogue is over, Cloud just hangs there, swaying back and forth while the music is still playing. I can't do anything during this time other than Ctrl + Q which still brings up the quit screen and I'm able to quit just fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! TY.

Hi the chocobo patch is not needed anymore just download Aali's custom graphics driver for FF7  here is his latest.

Follow the instructions.

It will make your game much better looking. And hopefully fix this issue your having.

It looks like your game isn't loading the field after the fmv plays.

I don't know what to change to fix this if it's true though.

Edit: It worked perfect - the game is quite a bit clearer now and I'm no longer getting the black screen! Thanks again, I appreciate it.
