Beta/Pre scripts to FF7
« on: 2010-05-15 04:39:53 »
I remember there was a website for some of the earlier versions of the final fantasy script. Had a section about Red XIII having clones, and other such stuff. I've also have heard that it was originally intended as a detective story. Anyways let me know about website I mentioned and if anyone has other sources to these scripts. Thank you.

A hint of it is in the wiki
"Vincent's character developed from horror researcher to detective, then to chemist, and finally to the figure of a former Turk with a tragic past."

Heres with some information with a clip of an interview where Tetsura claimed Sakaguchi wanted it to originally be a detective story taking place in midgar. I know, one source, I'll look up more as I go along

Trying to look through various sites I've been on for the url I've been looking for.

Very Interesting. There's many sidequests like letter to a daughter that were unused in the game. Wished they did not remove things like that caused I really like doing sidequests. And Barret was just supposed to use his guns for limit breaks?? Hmm there was so much revising Tetsuya Nomura did to the original story.

Well I'm interested in the scripts just cause
-how many story variations did they go through before the final game.
-what was in those variations, if any of it could add extra story/sidequests to the game.

Maybe some explanation on some oddities and rumors on the game. Red Man in the Prison, Letters, 1/34 soldiers, etc.
