@ ffx800
do you have already checked the MIDI-Tab?

@ Retodd

the file "camdat0.bin" should be in "[Gamedir]\data\battle".
You can copy it from "[Gamedir]\data\lang-en\battle" to that location...

The file is in both locations already

The only help that I can offer still is my FF7 Game Converter.
Also works with the English version of the game and add a few more registry keys.

However, then the new flevel.lgp (2012) is used, a converter for old flevel.lgp (1998) is not included. So you copy the flevel.lgp in 1998 before ...

You sent a PM and posted in 2 separate threads, all within 6 minutes. We're humans with day to day lives, not automated robots  :-P

Step 7: START DOWNLOADING EVERY MOD COLORED IN RED. FOR MOD DETAILS & BROKEN LINKS. USE THIS LIST: < TIFA'S PACKAGE >

Try my suggestion for manually mounting with Daemon Tools Lite, and let me know if you still have problems.

I did it as soon as I read your suggestion and it still didn't work: created a text doc, converted to iso, mounted to a virtual drive using DTL, chose the right drive in bootleg... the iso is there and mounted, the path in regedit leads to that drive (I figured bootleg does that automatically, maybe :)). The problem is still there and it will still be there if I re-install everything... -.- I'm prepared to re-install it 10 times a day if it will work after a week, but there is something wrong elsewhere, almost sure of that, but I'll use every bit of information you would give me as good as I'm capable of. Thanks in advance Alyza.

HI i seem to be having a tad bit of trouble running this on XP
i had it working on 7 but i downgraded to XP cause 7 ran too slow
anyway, when i go to run the bootleg it briefly gives a invalid switch error then disappears then nothing happens
no mounting, no game, nothing.
also i can't seem to find my app.log, i did a search for it in the FFVII folder but it came back with nothing
sooo i'm a little annoyed that what i had working is now broken again -_-
any help is appreciated

And I'm hosting a seedbox to ensure that the files are always available in a secondary place. What more could they want? :P

Hey all!

First I wanted to thank you all for your job which I have enjoyed for... let's say 5 minutes, no more :P
I'm using bootleg040 and I am not able to make it working, I don't know why...

I used the preset "Full" and I got all mods needed (no red mods listed), so I desactivated both my firewall and antivirus and launched bootleg mod's installation.
I have no error message during it (only the error message noted in the log.txt file, which is obviously not important).
I choosed "custom driver" as graphic driver, and I choosed my audio codec aswell.
My OS is Windows XP. I am running it with a ATI Radeon and AMD processor. I'm playing "Hardcore mod" (at least I am trying)

First strange thing: nothing happens when I'm trying to change "configure-things" from BootLoader.exe. I change some things, click on "writte" but obviously nothing is written in the ff7_opengl.cfg file. There is only one line written:

# Load Multiple DLLs
load_library = Multi.dll

I have been be able to fix it by initializing the ff7_opengl.cfg file, by copy/paste (I found code's example I don't remember where, but that was here). So, now, I can change options and it's fine.
But then I had the following problem:
My game crashed during the first battle (Cloud versus 2 shinra guards) with the message "oops something bad has happened."
My battle-toolbar was fucked so I suspected the MO.exe file (the one which change ingame text) to be the responsabale of that crash. So I reinstalled the game, and all mods but without MO.exe.
My game doesn't crash anymore during the first battle (halleluyah!) but now it does randomly after a battle. It happens often; I haven't been able to reach the first savepoint. And always with the same message "oops..."
Here is the APP.log:
