Hey guys,
Have this issue every time I start the game on Windows 8 64bit.
I tested the game before Bootleg was involved in any way and it worked fine.
I used the "Full" preset in Bootleg and everything ran everything successfully.
Followed the instructions for the sound/video configs and whatnot, tried the safe settings on the bootloader.
Regardless of what settings I try, the second I launch the game, my computer completely freezes for several seconds, followed by error message in the title: FF7.exe has stopped working.
In addition, I have attempted to run the game from various sources: FF7Music, FF7 BootLoader, FF7.EXE, etc.
Also tried reinstalling the game twice and running Bootleg again, but no luck unfortunately.
