How to convert a mod to .iro?
« on: 2019-02-23 15:34:23 »
Hello!

I am probably asking a very silly/newbie question but I didn't seem to find a straight answer easily. I have authored a small modification for FF7 a long time ago and was wondering what needs to be done to make it compatible with the 7Heaven format.

Thanks.

without knowin the mod or its layout i cant give you an exact answers.

but the general answer is that you need to make sure the mod pieces are organized into correct folders, battle/field/magic/etc then in 7h heaven go to workshop pack/unpack IRO then pack from folder and select the fold with the mod files in it. then after it packs import it, activate it and play.

Thanks, UpRisen.

The mod consists of two files only: scene.bin and kernel.bin to replace the original ones. That is all.

Scene.bin create a folder called battle.  Kernel is of course kernel.  Usually I unpack a mod that does similar things I want to do and go off of it.
