    Requirements:
    • Vanilla Final Fantasy 7 Steam version 1.0.9

    • High Res Italian Textures' IRO: HERE. Import the IRO file with 7th Heaven.
         -  Important: With 7th Heaven, enable Fancy Transparency (Trasparenza Forzata) from Settings > Game Driver > Advanced. Do NOT mix this mod with other User Interface mods in the Catalogue.
    • All-In-One Installer compatible with SYWV5: HERE. This installer is meant to be used on top of FF7 with a fresh installation of SYWV5, which can be found HERE. It will make a backup of SYWV5 files and install my own.
         -  Important: By default, it will disable stuff that might conflict with the mod, like character models and "cheat" features like save anywhere. If you want those features back regardless of compatibility issues that might arise, just go into the Backup-SYWV5 folder and restore those files. They are, for characters: "Backup\SYWV5\overid\field.SYW\char.lgp", which must replace mine in "SYWV5\overid\field", while the ones that enable cheats are in the Backup\hext folder. Restore only the ones you want.

    This project's goal is to retranslate FF7 into Italian using Daniel Burke's Reunion as the English source for the dialogues, while constantly cross-checking with the original Japanese script. For non-dialogue terms I will be reusing official translations as much as possible. My aim is not to have a localization that looks only to FF7 as a stand-alone game, i want it to blend well with the other Final Fantasy games we already have in Italian.

    Among the fixes from the original script: Cait Sith has the accent it needs (link to video preview), Reno gets his verbal tic adapted, Red XIII speech pattern emphasizes pre and post Cosmo Canyon... and much more. A few in-game screenshots HERE.

        1.10 - Text update due to the release of FFVII: Remake. Fixed "Limite di !" bug in the very last battle. Fixed middle character's name disappearance when healing with magic outside of battle.
        1.10a - Field names length bug fixed.
        1.10b - Final (?) Cait Sith proof check. Big props to Kuraudo.
        1.11 - Chocobo minigame texture fix.
        1.12 - Chocobo sex display bug in the bottom right box fixed. Ghost cursor in the materia menu (Esamina -> Magia/Invoca/Nemitec) fixed.
        1.5 - First version compatible with FFNx. IRO containing Menu, Prelude and Magic high res textures released.

    the pach is not compatible with 7thHeaven because it only works with the ff7_bc.exe so you can't use the mods ... do you have a solution?

    At this stage it's not meant to be used with any mod. It's to be used only with vanilla steam FF7 1.0.9.

    BTW I've updated the installer a few times today. In case someone has the very first version you should download and patch again. There were a few bugs. Mostly dialogue windows "spilling over" to the black portion of the screen in the bottom, which should never happen.

    Chapeau! That's a massive work and I hope this will help you finding a good proof checker. "In bocca al lupo" Caledor and thank you to keep updating us. Happy to see that FFVII will get his final justice also in Italian. It deserves it. I cannot wait too see more on Barret dialogues, Reno and Nanaki.

    The new version of Reunion should be behind the corner now and the translation is going to be massively different.

    Are you going to update the Italian one accordingly?

    I followed the proofread so my translation is already much closer to R06 than it is to R05c. Also yes, I already planned to recheck everything anyway.

    May I ask if the graphical "Miss" in combat will be translated in "Mancato"? I remember in the italian scene of modding someone got already this to work.

    Sadnes has it, and IIRC i was having trouble porting it so i set it aside. Will probably try again for the full release.
    Glad you're liking it so far, I hope to receive a lot of feedback from this alpha release.

    Hello i have a problem with this patch :
    i tried to UNINSTALL and clean the registry and re-install everything in this order :

    Max.Install + Official Patch 1.0.2 + Aali's driver 0.8.1b and after all that the "Final Fantasy 7 ITA Reloaded" patch

    At this point without setting anything else after the install process, i have tried the game : everything worked including the STATUS menu.

    Now, i have started to modify, in the window of the FF7 ITA RELOADED patch, one parameter per time (this windows contain mainly 5 voices (in italian)
    1- Gioca a FF7 (play ff7)  - when everything is ready, click here
    2- Opzioni grafiche (Graphic options) - to set full screen, window, advanced shader (2.0, 1.1).
    3- Resolution details (640x480, 800x600, etc to select)
    4- Game option (3 voices inside that can be on/off ed : Energy and damage over 9999, Magic defence correction, game speed correction)
    5- Disc selection

    Ok, now, everything i modified didn't make the status menu crash again, apart the GAME OPTION - ENERGY AND DAMAGE OVER 9999 :
    when i turn it on, then when i try to access the STATUS menu, the game crashes with that window ERROR : Oops! something very bad happened etc etc.

    So, i really thing at this point there is a problem with the FF7 ITA RELOADED patch : is there anybody that can solve this problem or contact INDREMA that posted first the patch on this forum please? thanks very much :-)

    The project is still going, great.
    I'm still working in a simple italian translation port for the steam version (from sadnes psx) but i've got problem in real life and editing the image file

    The sadnes version Is translated, but with a terribile color (it appear white with grey dot). I've tried to change but always got problem with palette

    I've solved all issues with .tex files and palettes a long time ago, so i could easily port & fix Sadnes' "mancato". I simply didn't like the outcome.

    As for progress, i stopped after translating the end of disc one, i'm currently waiting for R06

    Since this is mostly a translation of DLPB's The Reunion, it's highly likely that it will be compatible with the same mods as that.

    Finished a full review of disc 1. I now consider 67% of the translation final.
    Started working on Disc 2 and i'll probably follow the proofcheck of Beacause from now on.

    ATM i've finished Icicle Inn (Loggia gelata).

    Submarine acquired. Aka 90% DONE.

    Funny how (real) cloud enjoys taking prisoners instead of fighting (yes, even dogs). Also, his enemies love him for that.

    Flevel is 100% DONE. Only things missing for full release are text from the submarine minigame and texture alignment in the snowboard minigame.

    I honestly dunno. This translation replaces a lot of files (remember, built upon Reunion R05) so "out of the box" it won't work with anything probably. People will have to mess with files on their own, replacing files and repacking LGPs, especially for mods that enhance graphics.

    Goal was to get one working release first, combatibility will come later.
