Sometimes in the normal unpatched game there IS white text + white BG but the text has sime kind of shadow so you canread it anyway

Wow, thanks Captain Obvious. I was referring to parts in the game that use the dialog boxes. When you get Yuffie, if I recall correctly, the top of the background is very bright. I did say it was just my opinion, but thanks for stating the obvious anyway.
