I think it can be done by editing the HRC loader at every field file. It contains the name of the models to be loaded. Haven't tried it, though.

Yep. I've tried modifying the HRC loader and it changed the models. I'm too lazy to change the animation files too though, so I stick with models with the same amount of bones.

Only problem is you have to do this for every level....all 729 of them!
