newb question

hi guys, i'm looking for a topic or a method on how to break some limits in ff8. like the 9999 limit, or the 255 stat limit. can anybody help me? i've used the search function but couldn't find anything

Please don't bump. This board has a fairly low posting rate, if anyone can help you they will do so when they see this. That said, I don't recall anyone modifying the game in the way you're describing, as less is known about the FF8 engine than FF7's.

but why does everybody keep digging in the ff7 database and modifying stuff, but not in 8?

At a guess, I'd say it's just a more popular entry than FF8, so people are more likely to want to edit it.

I did some lame hack, but only place where 9999 limit changed seems HP, I had 18k hp. But ff8 is not ready for so much HP, so you see only last 4 digits in battle or menu screen. In some screen you see 18k(status, junction).

Edit:
some little more lame hacks, and I did with diabolos more then 10k damage:)
some little lame hack and everyone is giving 65535damage, monsters of course too:)
