ok i recently saw all of these cool mods and programs on this awesome site and i wanted to make sure that i won't have any troubles using them

i'm getting ff7 Eidios platinum edition ENGLISH

i have windows XP 2005 model with 155GB of space

i have all mods i want downloaded (the ones i want CURRENTLY anyway)

so with all of this i want to ask: is there any problems i may have with this game cuz i hear things like the ultima version having problems and non english versions not working, so if theres anything like that i should worry about then please let me know

also EIDOS Is english right? as noobish as it sounds the name EIDOS makes me think that it is spanish related

Eidos is the name of a game company. It's nothing to do with the language.

There are different languages for the game yes, make sure you get the english one because only those patches work with them since the US files have different names. I've tried ultima edition and it does not work with the patches, but it works perfect with XP, no crashes with fmvs and it also has a no-cd fix as well. Definitely get the original game and patch it, it looks really great. also you should get the ff7music if you haven't already, it completely replaces the midi's and also logs errors.

ok so i finally got the game and here are the problems i'm having:

1 i get the infamous black screen when cloud is supposed to jump out of the train

2 i wanna use the reconstruction project but when i get to the part where i extract the files and create a new folder it won't let me do it

so far those are my only problems
