I was thinking of starting a petition for the possible ff7 remake to be multi-platform if they do decide to make it. what do you all think?

Odds of a major company completely ignoring an internet petition: close to 100%.

Of course, if it were Valve, they'd probably listen, but Square certainly won't.

Ok, DS only ;D

No, iPhone/iTampon only :D

It isn't clear. Personally, I should hope that a FF7 remake would be made only for the most advanced platform available whenever it comes out. Actually, maybe not. If it were made for the Wii, whose userbase seems to care less about graphics, it might be good for the game.

Of course, I doubt a main series FF game or big-budget remake that is aimed at PS360 owners would ever be released on the Wii as well...

well i was thinking ps3/360/pc ....and i guess wii if they can pull it off. and they wont ruin the game if they leave they story alone and just work with new graphics and better cinematics. voices would be good too :) now for those who refuse to believe that they will do a remake, do some new research on it. they confirmed that they are finally considering it and the final fantasy 13 team is very down for doing it. now square enix and the team are trying to decide on if they do do it.. which platforms to put it on. the chances are starting to look better.

With the PC version it almost is a remake anyway.

On topic of if there is a remake, for it to be any good it would just have to be a graphics update + more side quests and things to do + maybe new materias and character weapons. If they take

away anything from the original there would be no point. Something i would like to see would maybe be this - an overworld map like the original (very detailed, of course) but where you can

press a button and enter a to-scale area that you could run around with on the field, level up, etc. Kind of like the old Fallout games (not 3) where you would wander the world map but could

enter an area any time you want. Also giving us a choice between classic character designs and CC styled designs would be nice (I prefer classic, but CC to appeal to, obviously, fans of CC and fans of a more realistic style).

Or they could just remake super high quality field backgrounds and battle and field models and give it to us for use in the PC version

PC would be nice but i doupt i could run it so either PS3 or 360 as i have both, though i enjoy using the 360 a bit more

as for the remake themselves, if they ARE going to do it, they need to add to the story, not take away, i'd like to see a bit more in the calm flashback, say a mini boss battle with the surprised sephiroth after he's been stabbed through (ending in him stabbing cloud and the hole, get thrown over the side business)

i would also like to see a bit more done for yufi, her side quests are good, but were never really that great at developing her as a character

the big thing im wondering on if they do voices with it... is cid, i don't want him to not be swearing, like what they did in DOC or AC, because that would ruin the hilarity of his character, i'd at least allow censoring bleeps, because that at least is a little funny if used right.

and finally, if they pay attention to detail on the bustersword, they better do the same on all weapons
