Heh, my country has the second most expensive internet connection costs in the world, but there is an alternative. There are 3 or four cable tv that provides internet acces via cable modem (and it's fast- always higher than 2.5 Mbit). And costs? It's only about 17$ per month (cable modem is free until you pay those 17$, wen you don't want it anymore, you just have to give the modem back). Nice huh? I'm using one and there is nothing to complain...
