The links are still working for the US.
Maybe you could use a proxy to download the files.

I've fixed the bug for the next release of Bootleg.
You can manually install the videos by extracting the movies into .\movies\
Choose to overwrite the existing movies.

Sora1995,
Don't install the game to a system folder such at .\Program Files\ or .\Desktop\
Instead install the game somewhere like C:\Games\Final Fantasy VII\
I did this and Tifa is still the same as she was when it was on the Desktop. And the game still crashes..

I thought there was still a Mediafire folder somewhere with these files... seems like not. I will upload them later today as I cannot download or upload anything here.

Guys, I registered here just to inform everyone that
http://www.mediafire.com/?bt3b84nfih4nd
https://rapidshare.com/files/2135061499/ff7_enhanced_movies_1.zip
https://rapidshare.com/files/1099401798/ff7_enhanced_movies_2.zip
https://rapidshare.com/files/3555615999/OSTRe.7z and
https://rapidshare.com/files/3788309481/ff7music_install_15112.exe
are all not working even if I use a proxy server. I hope you can provide a torrent file for these files. Thank you!

Mediafire is also not working for me but I don' get any error when I try to download the rapidshare files.

I've also got some other questions. A kind user of this board posted this link
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13212.msg183581#msg183581
it answers most of my questions but some questions still remains.

Whats the difference between these?

Soundtrack:
FinalFan Tim OGG
PSF Midi
OC Remix
The Remix
Bootleg

Also the same question goes for the FMV's, what is the differene between these:
Remix
Bootleg+Grimmy
Grimmy+Leonhart
Grimmy+Leonhart Alt
Bootleg Reworked

Thanks for the quick reply and is Grimmy+Leonhart Alt referring to the bonus files or what are these?

Well I did 2 different video edits for intro videos, just read my thread... nothing special btw... if you download them you will understand what files they replace inside the movie dir... Actually any individual chooses what he prefers.

I mirrored the enhanced movies in parts.
It's rapidshare so be prepared to wait for the downloads . . .

ff7_enhanced_movies_1.part1.rar - .part3.rar        Trojak          Enhanced Movie Pack 1 in 3 Parts        Qhimm 01 02 03

ff7_enhanced_movies_2.part1.rar - .part4.rar        Trojak          Enhanced Movie Pack 2 in 4 Parts        Qhimm 01 02 03 04

lizardlair00,
Delete any existing BFE.ini and LastUsed.bp files in the Bootleg folder.

What version of Windows are you using?

Question, why is it that everytime i try to download ff7 enhanced movies, OSTRe.7z, and ff7 music install   it says:

ERROR: IP address modified. (ef166e23)

Download not available
The following download is not available:

https://rapidshare.com/files/1188739642/ff7_enhanced_movies_1.part1.rar | 157.29 MB
Download parameters invalid - please try again later.

These are the files i need to download to finish modding FF7.

Rapidshare is acting strange.
Sometimes I have to click the link 2 or 3 times for the file to actually start downloading.
Have you tried using a proxy?

Yes it really is acting strange. It used to work 2 or 3 days ago. I tried using but I still receive the same error. By the way, have you heard of the new FF7 they are planning to release? I bet the graphics will still be horrible.

When i open the custom key configuration menu, the game crashes (every time). It sucks, because i have to use the standard button layout and i want to have the button layout like on ps1. Maybe it's because i'm using the german translation?

Is no one else experiencing this? Need Help...

I encountered the same problems with the new bootleg v0039.
I am using PitBrat's profile except from the language setting, which is german.

In the english version there is no such problem.

Also if you use german some menus and descriptions are still english.
I'd recommend you to play the english version because the game feeling is more "flawless".

If you want the german version anyway - in Bootleg 0038 controller configuration worked. (X360 Wireless)

PS: Thanks to PitBrat and the other authors of those mods to make this game enjoyable nowadays.
Even if I grew up with the PS1 graphics, i couldn't play it again in original.

There may be some texture names that are different.
I'll search through the German archives and try to find the problem.
Meanwhile, delete the existing ff7input.cfg and check if the game still crashes when you enter the configuration screen.

Are you also installing Menu Overhaul?

Are you installing Bootleg on a German FF7?
Or are you translating an English FF7 to the German language?

I did find some additional textures in disc_us.lgp that need the filenames changed.
I fixed it, but I think all of these textures are replaced in the MODS folder, so it shouldn't cause a crash.
