Roden and DLPB I don't know why you guys bother with these people. Only 10% of people can be convinced by logic and facts. My 2 cents?  It's going to be more of the same.  It always is.  And likely always will be until World War 3.  You know who will benefit from Trump's policies?  The upper class.  You know who won't?  The middle and lower class, as always.  The rich will get richer. The poorer will get poorer, and freedoms will continue to erode right in step with the ocean's reefs.

Pretty much this, I'll just add World War 3 will be inflicted upon us as a final way for the globalists to cement their power to promise to end all wars by turning us into "global citizens" IE slaves, cogs in the machine. The west died long ago with World War 1, freedoms were eroded and we got the league of nations and a promise of no more wars, then world war 2 came and the globalists won yet and profited once again, bailing out their banker friends who were in serious trouble, creating that infamous illegal state and sanctuary for them, and giving us the horrible league of nations, followed in WW2 by the United Nations and the birth of modern liberalism. World War 3 will be the final toll of the bell for the West, because we failed to heed the past and listen to the wisdom of our ancestors, like Tolkien's Numenorians, literally men of the west, we will fade away under the malice and power of evil in this world. Also like Tolkien's Numenorians our fall is largely of our own making, instigated by treasonous outsiders to be sure, but the blame lies on the traitors within our midst the "Black Numenorians". I think Tolkien was ahead of his time and saw the writing on the wall, he fought in World War 1 and lived to see World War 2, he was probably familiar with Oswald Spengler's Death of the West and he was certainly familiar with Hesiod's Ages of Men, and Norse and Hindu cycle of ages.

Nothing has changed, World War 3 will usher in the end of freedom and the beginning of open rule by the globalist cabal. My opinion? Let the world and more specifically the west burn, it deserves its fate for ignoring the wisdom of its ancestors and for failing to see that it was being played by its ancient enemies. Like how Sauron the deciever played the Numenorians through lies and propaganda, and through promises of wealth and power these enemies would not have won if not for the traitors in our midst and their greed for power. 

Like a forest that must periodically burn to grow stronger and healthy so too does this world and its peoples. Let them lie in the bed that they are making.

I wish I could have the same optimism you two have, I love everything Trump says, but he's got too many connections to the same people he criticizes. My guess is he'll be another Bush, basically another Democrat/Communist-Lite. That being said, we knew Hillary Clinton was evil, at least Trump is an unknown factor, I'd love if I was wrong about him and he actually meant what he says.

Small update: Fixed up Irvine's legs so they are more consistent. Added a few more hashcodes to the fray. One thing I forgot from the last update was that I changed Zell's face to the more serious look across all models for more consistency. I might reupscale a few textures later down the line, but I'll see.

On an unrelated note to this project... Some people are curious how the FF8 backgrounds would look with waifu. It is something I'm working on as well. Just a long and very, /very/ tedious project. So if you want to see, here is a video with some. I'll upload more as I continue with this and getting battle effects/magic upscaled and looking all pretty.

It can be visualy loseless but transcoded too (I think about it because solid LZMA is the best compressor i know so far)
The only way to be 100% sure that the files aren't modified is to do a checksum (md5, sha-1....) of the original files then of the extracted files.
If the checksum is bad then the files have been altered.

Satsuki is it possible to do Waifu Upscale on ff8 backgrounds? Project Eden is much better than vanilla, but I don't think it's perfect.

I love them both, I think they helped me move away from atheism when I was feeling pretty down and like there couldn't possibly be a God. The FBI wouldn't "hush it up" that a presidential candidate is involved in a pedophilia trafficking ring.

I was about to ask if you have any conception of the history of things the FBI has hushed up, or any conception of the corrupt world we live in where people with lots of power and money are able to silence large amounts of people by threatening their job security or families.

I find it odd that there are people who enjoy ff7 when large parts of the story are very traditional and  quintessentially against Capitalism and Communism. The war between Wutai and Midgar, the comments of the villagers in Kalm, the history of Corel and so many other details. Kinda reminds me of people who hate Christianity and yet love the Chronicles of Narnia or Lord of the Rings. I mean are they that dense you don't even need to read Tolkien's letters or listen to C.S' Lewis radio show to see he is basically recreating the Christian story that their entire mythos and story telling revolve around those beliefs.

How far the west has fallen when people like you literally defend pedophilia. They are normalizing evil in this world. When I was younger I thought liberal minded people just saw things differently, then I grew wiser and thought maybe they are just gullible or ill informed. Now I've come to see that Liberalism is a religion, a cult religion, it's practices are dogmatic, it's leaders invoke divine right and are unquestionable and infallible. We are told that we live in a democracy but the country was setup as a republic and almost all of the distinctions between republic and democracy have been annihilated by the powers in control, all of the safeguards on uncontrolled power.

We are told we live in a free country but with each passing year our freedoms are eroded away, gun rights are restricted, freedom of speech has always meant freedom of political speech but they used the case of Schneck vs United States to whittle away free speech and freedom of association. They start with something completely reasonable that you can't yell fire in a theater when there is no fire, to begin the slow whittling away of free speech. But free speech was always about protecting speech of a political nature, everyone, EVERYONE knew this. The whole case was a farce as the government continually grabs more and more financial and bureaucratic power and slowly chips our freedoms away. Now they talk about hate speech. Why are they afraid of such speech? Because it has the potential to lead to rebellion, and the new aristocracy of bankers and their pets are afraid of losing their status as leeches of the world, creating nothing yet consuming everything and everyone.

 In the age of the internet people have no right to be uninformed or claim ignorance, many of them are quite frankly evil. It's a new Satanic religion that has grown up in the west in the aftermath of two world wars fought primarily for the benefit of the international cabal. A demoralized and controlled society that has completely given up on God and God has therefore given up on them. All you have to do is look at Roe vs Wade, every justice who participated in that decision or has come afterword admitted there is nothing in the constitution that guarantees a right to abortion, in fact the opposite is true it guarantees a right to not have your life deprived without due process. They essentially admit they have shit all over and used the constitution as a toilet rag to spread their satanic beliefs. The fact that people in general and Christians especially haven't revolted yet attests to their power to control people through fear, money, the media, and manipulation. The exact same way President Shinra and then Rufus controlled people. When money doesn't work, just use fear. Or as the Romans said, bread and circuses for the plebs and when that doesn't work threats of violence or actual violence. But the bread and circuses almost always work right up until the end, when they day of the rope comes for all of you who have been shitting up and shitting on this world. It always comes eventually.

Some say it's been going on since WW1, this insanity, but its roots go back further. As Karl Marx said, capitalism was the necessary weakening of the state and people to usher in the insanity of Communism. Capitalism introduced the weakness to the immune system of the west, and Communism is the virus that ravages it.

One issue, I am noticing that the quotations are backwards for dialogue. The end quotation marks are at the beginning and the beginning kind are at the end, just something small I noticed so far.

Okay thank you, Maki's UV fixed everything except the black square under squalls feet in world map. Roads and whole world looks much better, no seams/blocks.

It also lets me alt-tab in and out! Before Maki's fix whenever I alt tabbed out and then back in it would show a mish mash of textures over a black screen. Like the texture pics for mods.

Edit: Sometimes alt-tabbing still causes this issue, but doing it a few times fixes it.

Ah - this is because you aren't implementing Maki's current UV fix. I HIGHLY reccomend it.  I'm not sure what's going on with the shadow.... I'll have to test it out.  What disc are you on? At what point in the game are you?  Are you using the English version?

Ok I'll try to find makis fix. I'm on disc 1 about to embark on the timber owls mission, just got diablos lamp.

You mean the road goes back to low resolution? Odd... I've tested that area so many times. Perhaps I missed a variable. If you can post a screenshot, then I can tell you if it really is.

As for the black squares, it's probably missing hashes for his  upscaled shadow? Was never sure why it bugs out like that, but I think getting the hashes for them should fix it? I'll check into that.

Noticing two new issues. The first is the roads are vanilla, I don't think they converted, at least in the starting Balamb area, I'm only that far in my playthrough.( Also I lost your new textures for the balamb school/ area, that is intentional correct?) The second is that sometimes my squall world model will have the outline of a black square underneath his feet. Like 4 black lines around his feet that meet in a rectangle. I am using fated courages/mago's world model for squall, wondering if it's not playing nice together with this. Or maybe it's just my shitty laptop that is not really meant for gaming.

Also the seams on forests and some other textures but I see you are aware of that one.

Other than these issues, loving the mod! Thank you once again.

Absolutely gorgeous, can't wait my gosh I love Siren in particular, but they are all very good. BTW I recently downloaded project horizon 3.0. Thank you so much for all your hard work! 

Sorry non-topic related rant incoming:

I know a lot of people hate on ff8 because 7 was so good but I think other than the draw magic system everything else was really quite good about the game. Once I got the hang of junctioning I kind of liked it,  though it isn't balanced at all. I loved the characters, the story, the absolutely amazing music(honestly even a better soundtrack than 7, and 7's was a masterpiece), the graphics for the time were amazing. Sorry kinda going off on a tangent, but I love the fact that people still love this game enough to this day to make it better for all of us. Kinda speaks to the quality of the games back then, maybe I'm just getting old but a lot of the games today have the depth of a puddle. The only game I've come close to 100%ing  in the last few years are Witcher 3(still have to do the dlc kinda wore myself out on the game doing every single little thing I could find) and Mass effect 2, and Persona 4.

Maybe some of this is nostalgia, but I loved 7 and 8 as a kid, and the first time I played 9 I think I was a bit too young, but when I played it again a few years later I really loved it as well until disc 3 and 4. Disc 3 and 4 had a lot of amazing side content but there were pacing issues for me, it felt like a series of dungeons with no town exploration between. Hell I even liked some aspects of 10, but I felt it was at 10 where the series really started to branch off into a different approach that just didn't draw me in like the previous games had.

McIndus I'm sorry, I love your mods but when you say something like this quoted below, you come off as insane in an attempt to justify your own worldview. Kinda like when a drug addict is confronted with reality and keeps denying it, it leads me to believe liberalism/leftism is more of a religion than an ideological position.
