Yeah thanks to both of you =)
You can see old textures on some spots, or a rough transition but all in all you guys made my ff8 looking amazing! =)

Because of your tutorial I finally know how to pronounce 'scheizure' correctly. :P

But I never read "turn off steam overlay" before.

I installed everything like you're Tonberry tutorial shows.
In your video, you never mentioned to turn off steam overlay.

On the Tonberry download page ist no "turn off steam overlay" advice
check yourself: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=15945.0

The reason how I figured out to turn off steam overlay was luck,
because I watched your vid again in hope I forgot something.
THIS time I pressed "show more"
and Voilá there is a "turn off steam overlay" advice

I got it.
The enabled d3d9.dll conflicts with Steam Overlay.
The disabled d3d9.dll seems to deny mods but allow Steam Overlay.

I just turned Steam Overlay off and enabled d3d9.dll

Thanks for you're help and patience =)

Try disabling the mods by putting their _hm.csv files in 'disabled' one at a time.  At least that way, we can figure out which mod is the source of the problem.
I tried each combination. Not even one mod works

Also - I just realized that you might not have updated graphics drivers?  That is also an issue with the bug.  DirectX needs to be fairly up to date for Tonberry to work.
It's up to date

Also - what resolutions are you trying to run the game?
1680x1050@60hz

Quote
Have you kept the resolution set to 4 in the prefs.txt file?
resize_factor=4.0

Quote
Not sure why this would matter when it works fine without mods, but try setting your processor affinity to CPU0 in the Task Manager for FF8_DE.exe
Don't change anything.

Seems like its Tonberry itself?
d3d9.dll is still disabled.

Windows is on Drive C too.

Here's a better picture of the filtypes. It was just excel as opening programm by default.

I removed has1map.csv and it still doesn't work.

If you need more information just tell me.
Hopefully you've further ideas =)

FF8 is on drive C

and putting collision.csv and hash2map.csv in its parentfolder don't solve the problem.

What could I try next?

Hello Emeck,
Everything seems correct for me . Except for "objfile" which should be named "objmap".
Try to disable d3d9.dll, by renaming it 0d3d9.dll. Then run ff8. Is the problem still there?
Neither "objfile" nor "objmap" affect this error message.

Disabling d3d9.dll worked! But there is no graphic improvement.
I can play but without mods.

Hello Hello,
first things first, You guys did an amazing job so far I can tell to screenshots! =)

Final Fantasy worked great until I installed tonberry and following mods: SeedReborn, Project Eden, HorizonPack.
I did everything (In my opinion) right.

1) I installed Tonberry 1.6

2) I extracted all texture folders into the "textures" folder

3) I put all necessary mods hasmaps into the "hashmap" folder in tonberry

When I start FF8, it crashs right after the first Sqare Enix Image.
And I get this message:

Where is problem?
What did I wrong?

Hopefully it's as detailed as possible.
I thought this would be the best page for getting an anwser after I watched MCindus Tonberry Tutorial on youtube.

I'm looking forwards from hearing you =)
