So i havent been visiting this forum for what now? About 5 months? Anyhow, i stopped by here recently to see how things are going on, and Stormmedia´s patch is certanly the first thing i check on. Since i cant use "FF7music" due to minor problems (like the music itself does not start playing until 2 seconds into the scene when it should) Stormmedias nice looking project is a must to stop my thirst into patching this game to become playable (cant stand the pure Midi sounds)

And things are looking extremely well Storm. I especially liked the batte theme. New tones are always nice. One because i´ve heard the old ones too many times for it to become thrilling, and two because it actually is a nice remix.

All cred to you my friend (and the ones whom i see has been starting to work with you). When this project is done, which i pray the old guy whom lives in the clouds it will, i might get to cheer and hurray that i once bought the PC-veresion of FFVII.

I was once in a hunt for a program that could convert any musicfile to MIDI, unfortunatley there doesent really seem to be one. I asked people around and there doesent seem to be a need for it. But hey, maybe you know something i dont?

I am just trhilled about this little machine since it was shown on E3. Man do this one have potential. Plus the function that will probably satisfy me the most after the Wii-mote, is the option to download retrogames, for a small fee of course. I belive it was 5$ for one NES-game, 6$ for one SNES-game, and (sadly) 10$ for one N64-game. Its definitly worth it though  8-)

Sonys pressconference wasnt all that good, but i am intressted in "Cell". Too bad the machine will be monstrously expensive at release.

Its probably not a stuck key. I mean it COULD be, but that wasnt the case for me  :-). Sadly i dont remember exactly what it was, but i remember it was some kind of add-on program, like "the hand patch" for example. Try unintall the game again and see what happends.

Did you follow the instructions, TO THE TEE enya?
I uninstalled the game countless ammounts of times and tried installing the patch over and over again. The newbie guide was to some help, but it was certinly not that one that gave me the most help, but a lot of other peoples tips did. Seriously, i´ve tried absolutley EVRYTHING to get it to work on my own, but all in vain. It sucks, yeah. And it bothers me that of all the posts i´ve read here that explains the problems i have, NONE of tem have been answered with a solution. Why? There simply dosent seem to be any solution besides copying your friends files

So, since i´m not the absolutley genoius here, this makes the music that you have modified to replace the old ones? In that case, good :). And if you are you intressted, i have a suggestion of some more musicfiles to be modified. These are: J-E-N-O-V-A, Those chosen by the planet (Sephiroths main theme which loses all its feeling it had in the PS veresion in the PC veresion), Turks theme, The great norhtern cave, and well thats it :)

Hope you continue keeping this project active, since i cant get Ficudelas patch to fix some annoying issues. Great work ^^

So, any other peeps having the extremely annoying issue that you get this to work, but the music is first of all delayed with say 1 and 1/2 second before it actually starts, and that the musicfiles you patch get lower soundvolume than it should have?

Yeah well, what can i say? I have had this problem for moutnhs now, and i´ve never found a solution. Your problem COULD be the hand patch, but since i never had this one installed, nor any other patches before i tried installing the reunion patch, its definitly not for sure. But by all means, try uninstalling it before trying next tme. You want to know how i finally got it to work? I simply copied my friends installed char.lgp with the reunion patch (which amizingly worked fine for him) and overwrited my original one. Quite the high-tech answer huh?

Another sad thing is that i cant find the NPC reconstruction patch to work, by the same problem that causes the Reunion patch to fail. Several people have given me their tips and tricks to overcome the problems, but none of them works. I hate it  :|

With all due respect fellow programers, i think that cloud is a little to small, judging from the pictures i´ve seen. Epecially the lower part of the body, that´ll mean the legs. Just think about it. Maybe you could make them a little, say "fatter"? Nevertheless this looks as so many people already said, soooo good!

United we stand my friend. Well, not only that, the music thats been playing from my downloaded OST serie is simply too silent when played in the game. Anyway to change this besides setting music to max volume in ficedulas program? Someones eager to have the solution to both of these probs.

Hello there. As the topic says, i do have some probs with FF7Music. The FF7Music program somehow isnt as fast as the built in midifiles from the game. Therefore its a serious pain the teh arse when it comes to random encounters, where the music is to put it simply unstable, and comes in shortly after the midimusic is played. I did see another person in this forum having the same problem, and if a soultion is somewhere out there it would be great to hear it, since the main problem with the PC veresion of the game is the music, who has as i think evrybody knows, a terribly soundtrack, even if it is technicly the same as the PS veresion.

So my great comapnions, if you know the solution, you know where to write it down  :)

Thanks in advance //Enya

Well cheers to me. I´m not able to fix this, even if i can fix the .VOS trobule. The game simply crashes, and well, theres no more specific symptom than that. I´m just gonna give up and hope that somebody will somtime in the fuuuture release a veresion of reunion fixing this issue  :x

... -_-

Updated: Thank you people that sent your repeat in this thread. Anyways, as i have written in the newbies tutorial guide, i´ve somehow managed this to work. Luck i guess. Thanks for the support anyway. However, for people that still does have this problem, this issue needs to be looked upon, and somehow be fixed. I sadly know i cant help :(

Thanks for the reply. So this file thats corrupted is not an important file that needs to be updated by the patch? Therefore i can logically replace it? Nah, i trust you and give it a shot

Yeah i know, i´ve already written in the "newbie tutorial guide"-thread but i think this is a problem worthy of a brand own thread, concidering its kind of a serious one which many people encounter as far as i´ve noticed.

Anyways, I tried installing this patch using the tutorial for installing the reunion patch, but got an error complaining about a file called BVJF.yos when I tried to start a new game or load another. I have tried endlessly many ways of installing the patch to avoid this problem, and i have reinstalled the game countless ammounts of times, but heck folks, somebody up there dosent like me cause it still comes up to the same old problem  :z

Sometimes of course the game dosent complain about a specific file, it just crashes when i try to load or start a game and then i have to shout some ugly words and use my backup file of the char.lgp.

Notice also that i have tried EVERY single way to install it, and read the newbie thread over and over again, concerning not just the install, but of other peoples issues with the patch and well folks, im tired and exhausted. I just hope that some man/woman out there in the cyber jungle know what to do and am kind enough to write it down here.

I know there is a solution to the problem, and i get the feeling that if somebody should donate at least an hour of their hacking ability to this prob it should go smooothly

Thanks in advance people. Feel free to write about your own probs with the patch here

Its not evryday you get stumbled across a mod this great, which also makes it frustrating when you dont get how to even install it at all. Call me stupid if you want, but i´m having trouble understanding the readme

Really. Makes me feel real dumb when writing this message but i dont get a clue on wat you should do at all from step number 1 to 4. I have modyfied FF7 a couple of times and have the programs neccesary like the LGP tools, but if someone could give me a real super detailed faq on how to apply this mod, even how long it would become i would become greatly appreciated. Dont be afraid to write it like you were talking to a 3 year old child

Thankyou //the dumb one
