Troubleshooting / Final Fantasy VII Crash

Like I have these random crashes... Like the time I was finding Yuffie, I crashed like at least 4 times walking in the overworld.. So I thought my game would crash in the overworld... But now I'm at the Gea's Cliff and I crashed randomly too when I was running down the slope..(where the gigas and the bomb is). I had to restart again and I lost all my exp and items because of that crash... After I reached the whirlwind maze and I got hit so I had to fight that monster... Right after I killed him, it freezes for 0.5 sec and then crashes, it didn't even show the part where they do the victory dance....

I've set the compability mode to 95, 98, NT, ME, XP, and Vista... Anyone got any other solutions?

Okay, now I have ANOTHER problem... Like my game crashes RANDOMLY when I'm at the world map.. Like I was training where Yuffie was and it crashed 3 times out of nowhere and I had to restart training.. No messages was left... I just had to start FFVII again.. Anyone know why it keeps crashing in the world map randomly?

Guys, I do not want the huge map... I mean the small map is suppose to be bigger and translucent...

One: For some reason my map is SMALL like hell... I barely can see where I am on the map and I do not like to use the huge map... And for some reason my small map isn't translucent... Anyone knows how I can make it bigger and translucent?

Two: I sometimes lose my sound after a FMV and it takes some time to regain the sound back. Anyone know why I keep losing my sound after FMVS?

Three: My buttons are way to quick! Like whenever I press down to Materia, it like goes so fast it goes to magic instead... Anyone know how I could make the buttons slower too? Thanks.

Nevermind... I FINALLY SOLVED THE PROBLEM. YOU HAVE TO CLICK THE COMPATIBILITY BUTTON. Wow I swear Vista is so lame as hell.

Unchecked hidden already... I've contacted Eidos and they reply me saying this game is too old, we don't support it no more. Wow.
Anyone knows any possibilities?

Vista does not have it in another area...

Okay.. I searched many many times..... save00.ff7 save01.ff7... And for some reason it does not appear... I just downloaded a editor to see if I can edit the file... and the funny thing is that I CAN find the file when I'm in the editor and when I'm not, I CAN'T find the save folder.

Okay..  I just reformatted my computer and installed Final Fantasy VII... I got up to the first point in the game and saved... I exited out and wanted to take a look at my save folder, but it is not there...

I've looked in regedit but it is not there... I've reinstalled and still not there... I've searched my whole computer but not one save folder...

Hi I'm getting this very weird problem.. I cannot seem to find my save folder for my Final Fantasy VII... I'm planning to reformat my computer and wanting to save the files, but I can't find it... I went to
C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII\save\
but I can't seem to find the \save\ , I even typed it in the URL and it says it cannot find the folder... Can someone help me? I don't want to lose my massive files... And the strange thing is that I can still PLAY the files when I'm in the game just that I can't seem to find the files when I'm outside in the folder of the game. I've searched and unchecked the hidden content too...

And I also have a PC Version glitch... For some reason after I receive a bitebug/gayla card, then I enter or exit somewhere these cards disappear...
Like this happened..
I won like 10 bitebugs and 4 gayla cardsfrom QoC. Then I check my inventory they're still there. Then I rode my Ragnarok to Dollet and I checked my inventory, and all the bitebug cards and the gayla cards I won all disappeared just like you never got them before... Then I faced QoC and I won like 3 bitebug and 2 gayla cards and when I checked back in my inventory, I had 13 bitebug cards and 2 gayla cards... When I went back to Balamb, I checked my inventory again and the bitebug and the gayla cards are all gone just like you've never earned them before. So basically whenever I only earn the bitebug card and it ride of Ragnarok to somewhere, the amount of bitebugs I've earned just now will add to the amount I've had before, and the gayla cards, no matter how much I earn, in the end when I ride my Ragnarok to somewhere, I will lose all of it. So whenever I ride my Ragnarok with these 2 cards they disappear and the bitebug will have what how many cards it had just like invisible and the gayla will all reset each time I ride it.
Examples..
I am looking at my cards at the entrance to Balamb and about to get on my Ragnarok.

I got on the Ragnarok and came back down and looked at my cards.

In the first link I had 8 bitebugs cards but I won one from Qoc which I now have  9 bitebugs and 2 gayla cards which I also just won means I have 2 gayla cards which is 151 monster cards and 281 cards in total.
In the second link after I got off the Ragnarok I completely lost all of my bitebugs and gayla cards which totals 140 monster cards and 470 cards.
So does anyone know what is going on and how to prevent/fix it? Thanks.

Like when I drive my Raganarok it is kind of laggy... Any mods,patches, solutions?

Okay thanks I'm gonna plan to buy version 1. Another question is that the old one has 4 Discs, and the new one has 5.. I know that the old one is that 3 discs are games, and 1 manual... The new one is 3 game plays, 1 installation, 1 manual... Hi I'm just planning to buy a PC version of VII but I'm just having some problems... Well I went on eBay to check there it showed me a lot of different version of the same game... I think they are real but I'm just trying to get the right version...
