On occasion this happened to me as well
 From what I could tell it had to do with using PNGs for SYW with the Reunion. I have no idea if the Reunion has been updated to support DDS now though. I just kinda had to live with the crashes when I played.

I mean the pun is so obvious, how do you miss that?

Not my mod related, but as Reuinon use png, there is memory issues with textures mods witch can crash the game or corrupt textures
is it possible to use DDS with FFNx somehow while still running Reunion?

Someone else already posted that link, I already read it. It certainly didn't answer my question. Why should a retranslation mod be incompatible with anything aside from other such mods?

Simple answer is that Beacause greatly modifies flevel.lgp which makes it incompatible with any other mod that does so, such as New Threat.

You can get the most popular graphical and gameplay mods with Reunion without 7H. I already a few hours in with Reunion + New Threat 1.5 + Satsuki Upscale Textures .

Luckily reunion framework makes it pretty straight forward with enabling a custom mod folder.

Thing is that New Threat breaks Beacause, they aren't compatible unfortunately.

Speaking purely as an outside observer. It doesn't seem to me like either party will cease acting like children. I personally think that if DLPB removes the offending code and doesn't redistribute the older versions, everyone should just move on with their lives.

Personally I like both FFNx and The Reunion, they are both great in their own rights. I wish y'all could get along.

i think you can start with beacause, it fixes various spelling errors and add dialogues missing from original game. it doesn't change gameplay in any form.
New Threat changes gameplay in all areas, definitively it's for a second run of the game.

Yeah I ended up landing on that. Figured experiencing the story the way it was intended (which Beacause strives to do) is the best way to do a first run. Definitely gonna do a second run with New Threat.

It's a good 6 months off for sure.
Oof, guess I'll just decide between this and New Threat for now and replay when they work together.

Damn this looks great. I just can't decide between New Threat or The Reunion... Both are great for completely different reasons, I'm just sad that I can't have Beacause and New Threat together.

Any ETA on merging Beacause with New Threat? Just curious cause I would absolutely love to play using both. New Threat's gameplay changes are amazing, and Beacause does so much more for the script...

Nevermind my previous post. Game keeps crashing anyways. Realized though that if I'm using New Threat there's not much point in using The Reunion since I can't have Beacause... I'm considering switching over to New Threat, but I gotta ask... Am I missing out by not having Beacause? I can not make up my mind, this is my first full playthrough of the game so I'm struggling to decide which mod is best for that.

Nevermind! I realized it is actually VERY simple. I just copied over the .lgp and .bin files into Reunion/Custom/remako/Direct

In case anybody is wondering how to make Reunion + Remako + New Threat all work simultaneously, this is it!

which .lgp and .bin files exactly? I tried doing it with the ones from New Threat but that didn't work

EDIT: Nevermind, I was trying to use my old save file. Had to start a new game
